Community Guidelines

PopMe is built on truth. Unlike entertainment platforms, we are a digital trust infrastructure. These guidelines define what is acceptable to keep our network secure, authentic, and human.

1. The Pillar of Technical Authenticity

Context Manipulation (GPS & Time)

The use of emulators, GPS spoofing, or software that alters timestamp and location metadata is strictly prohibited. The value of PopMe is the proof that “you were there”.

Automation and Bots

The use of automated methods to inflate engagement or create accounts is forbidden. We want human interactions, not artificial traffic.

Synthetic Media and Deepfakes

We prohibit content generated or edited by AI (Artificial Intelligence) that deceptively alters the reality of events or people’s identities.

Harmful Misinformation

We do not allow the use of the platform to spread false information that causes significant real-world harm or interferes with civic processes.

2. Safety and Human Protection

Following rigorous protection standards, we apply immediate bans for:

Child Sexual Exploitation

Zero tolerance. Any content that sexualizes, abuses, or exploits minors will be removed, the account banned, and the case reported to NCMEC and Brazilian authorities (Federal Police).

Threats and Violence

Content that threatens individuals, incites real-world violence, glorifies crimes, or promotes extremist and terrorist organizations is prohibited.

Suicide and Self-Harm

We do not allow content that encourages, instructs, or glorifies suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. PopMe must be a space for support, not triggers.

Nudity and Sexual Acts

Sharing intimate images, sexual acts, or promoting sexual services is prohibited.

Non-Consensual Nudity and Sexual Exploitation

Sharing intimate images of third parties without consent (revenge porn) or promoting sexual services is prohibited.

3. Civility and Respect

To keep the community healthy, we prohibit toxic behaviors:

Harassment and Bullying

Coordinating attacks, intimidating, defaming, or stalking other users is prohibited. Degrading comments about appearance or character are not welcome.

Hate Speech

We remove any content that attacks, threatens, or dehumanizes individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, sex, or gender identity.

Doxing (Data Leaking)

Publishing private personal information of third parties (such as addresses, phone numbers, documents, or financial data) without explicit authorization is prohibited, even if the information is true.

4. Legal and Commercial Integrity

Illegal Activities and Regulated Goods

Using PopMe to sell or promote drugs, firearms, endangered animals, stolen goods, or fraudulent services is prohibited.

Scams and Fraud

We prohibit phishing schemes, pyramid schemes, or any attempt to deceive users for financial gain.

Intellectual Property

Respect creators’ rights. Do not publish content that violates copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets of third parties.

5. Enforcement and Consequences

Our moderation system acts to protect the trust infrastructure:

Reporting

We encourage the community to report violations through the app’s built-in tools. Every report contributes to keeping the network trustworthy.

Content Removal

Content violating these guidelines will be removed promptly upon detection or report.

Suspension and Banning

Minor violations may result in warnings or temporary suspensions. Severe violations — such as child exploitation, real-world violence, or technical GPS fraud — will result in a permanent and irrevocable ban of the account.

Cooperation with Authorities

PopMe will cooperate with legal authorities when there is a risk to life or physical safety, or upon receipt of a valid court order.
